Meat recognised in agribusiness leaders top 10

Bill Falconer2Congratulations to “red meat man” Bill Falconer for his inclusion in Idealog’s top ten agribusiness leaders, as judged by Jaqueline Rowarth, Hamish Gow and Vincent Heeringa. Bill is current chair of the Meat Industry Association and also of the investment advisory panel of the Primary Growth Partnership board.

Another meat connected person to make the list is the current chair of the Farm IQ PGP, Alison Paterson, who is a former chair of Landcorp Farming and Wrightson and a former Deloitte Management Magazine’s Chairperson of the Year (2010). She sees FarmIQ as an “exciting challenge. We’re charged with adding value$320 million to the value of the red meat sector by 2017 – and $1.1 billion by 2025.”

Former Richmond Ltd chair and now chair of Zespri, John Loughlin, also makes the list, along side sheep and beef farmer and current Federated Farmers president Bruce Wills.
