There will be some meat processors out there with excellent people and teams to enter into the New Zealand 2013 Food industry Excellence Awards.
The New Zealand Institute of Food Science and Technology (NZIFST) is inviting nominations for this years awards. You do not need to be an NZIFST member to enter in any of the the four competition categories:
- Eco-efficiency, and
- Service or Supply.
The annual awards have been held since 2010 to recognise excellence in these key aspects of food business management.
The Awards recognise and reward food industry people for excellent performance in the specified fields, and aim to foster these qualities throughout the New Zealand Food Industry. Each award is primarily directed to recognise excellence in people and not the output/outcome as a standalone. Individuals, teams, staff at a specific location or staff of an entire company are eligible for consideration.
Award recipients in each class are determined by a panel comprising senior food industry professionals recognised by NZIFST for their accomplishments in food science and technology in New Zealand. That process ensures the NZIFST Excellence Awards provide the pre-eminent peer recognition for excellent people in the New Zealand food industry.
The next NZIFST Food Industry Excellence Awards will be presented at a celebratory dinner to be held during the 2013 NZIFST Conference, ‘Time for Action’, in Hastings, 2–4 July. Finalists will be featured in the pre-conference issue of Food New Zealand. Award recipients will receive a trophy and cash award.
