New venison executive for DINZ

Deer Industry New Zealand (DINZ) has appointed a new venison marketing executive.

Marianne Wilson has been appointed to the team to work with venison exporting companies and their customers to run venison market support activities, including some collaborative marketing initiatives as part of the Passion to Profit (P2P) Primary Growth Partnership (PGP) programme of work.

Formerly with Fonterra, Wilson led innovation projects for the company’s foodservice business, developing and launching new products in Asian and Middle Eastern markets in conjunction with the company’s chef network. Before returning to New Zealand in 2011, she led new product development for selected portfolios for Burger King in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Wilson has also worked in marketing and brand management in the Netherlands and the UK with Sara Lee, British Home Stores, Tesco and Marks and Spencer.

Former venison marketing service manager Innes Moffat remains with DINZ and is now heading the implementation of the P2P programme.
