Congratulations to robotic meat boning technology experts Scott Technology and FarmIQ for being included in the finalists list for the New Zealand Innovation Awards 2015.
Otago-based Scott Technology has been nominated in both the Innovation in Agribusiness & Environment and the Innovation Excellence in Research for its lamb forequarter cut automation system and also the Sustained Innovation Excellence section.
Wellington-based FarmIQ has been nominated in the Innovation in Agribusiness & Environment and the Innovation in Information Communications Technology & Cloud Solutions categories.
The awards organisers say that competition was fierce with an increase of 24 percent in entry numbers and a world class standard of innovation entries received.
The Innovation Council’s chief executive Louise Webster says the 2015 entrants give a real sense that Kiwi innovation is moving into the mainstream, demonstrating world leading approaches to innovation with many businesses going global from day one.
