Dr William Rolleston has been named as Federated Farmers’ 32nd national president, having been elected at the organisation’s annual conference last Friday to replace outgoing president Bruce Wills.
Dr Rolleston has been Feds vice-president since 2011. He is a South Canterbury farmer and founding shareholder and director of South Pacific Sera. A former South Canterbury provincial president, Rolleston is on the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment’s Science Committee.
New vice-president is Anders Crofoot, a former New Yorker with a background in investment funds analysis. He farms Castlepoint Station in the Wairarapa and is a past provincial president of Federated Farmers Wairarapa. Crofoot is a board member of Grow Wellington, the fire chief for Castlepoint and is a past-President of the dunedin-based NZ Grassland Association.
