Just two weeks left to go now to this year’s Red Meat Sector Conference (RMSC 2018).

An exciting line up of excellent speakers is promised for the eighth edition of the event by the joint organisers, the Meat Industry Association and Beef + Lamb NZ Ltd.

Delegates will learn about what’s ahead for the red meat sector over the coming year as it navigates change and trades in an uncertain world.

Most recently added to the programme line-up for the day-long event in Napier at the end of July include respected and renowned business journalist Rod Oram, who will facilitate a panel discussion on Our Red Meat Story.  Former Zespri chief executive, Lain Jager, will explain what the new Primary Sector Council, which he now chairs, is all about, while New Zealand’s transition to a low emissions economy will be explored by Productivity Commission chair Murray Sherwin.

Riding the exponential wave of change will be the topic for motivational speaker Kaila Colbin, chief executive of Missing Link Consultants and New Zealand Ambassador for Silicon Valley’s Singularity University.

You’ll also be able to hear the latest on New Zealand’s trade prospects in troubled waters from Vangelis Vitalis, chief negotiator for the recently concluded Comprehensive and Progressive Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) trade agreement and now Ministry of Foreign Affairs deputy secretary trade and economic. How New Zealand can ‘win the end game in the Middle Kingdom’ will be explored by economist Tim Hunt, Rabobank general manager food and agribusiness research and advisory.

RMSC 2018 will take place in Napier, Hawke’s Bay from 29 to 30 July. It’s a great opportunity to learn and network on all things red meat and is well supported by companies servicing the sector.
