The Red Meat Profit Partnership (RMPP) launched a new website in May.
RMPP is the $64 million primary growth partnership between the red meat sector and the Ministry for Primary Industries. Alongside Beef + Lamb NZ, which provides 30 percent of the funding from red meat farmers, six meat processing companies – all MIA members – are involved. These are Alliance, ANZCO Foods, Blue Sky Meats, Greenlea Premier Meats, Progressive Meats and Silver Fern Farms. In addition, two banks, ANZ and Rabobank, are participants in the partnership.
RMPP’s aim is to boost sheep and beef farmer productivity and profitability. It runs a number of projects designed to address some of the issues highlighted in the Red Meat Sector Strategy report released in March 2011.
The new website can be found at www.rmpp.co.nz, where you can learn more about the programme of work this is being developed and presented.
