The campaign to raise awareness of iron-deficiency in New Zealand and worldwide is back for the third time. World Iron Awareness Week will run from 18-24 April 2016.

Iron deficiency is prevalent in New Zealand among pockets of the population, including young children, adolescent girls and young women.

World Iron Awareness Week LogoMassey University will facilitate a series of events in the lead up to and during World Iron Awareness Week, including a public lecture on Food, Mood and Mind from special guest speaker, Dr Helen O’Connor, a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney.
